Who’s this guy?
Tyler Wood is a bus driver, pursuing a career in music. He is a country singer-songwriter when combining his love for writing Country, with Blues and Soul, creates original music that is truly authentic. Sometimes even a Hard Rock tune when he's in the mood.
His debut single released January 12th, "You're Doing Okay" promotes positive self-talk for better mental health amongst men. His debut album titled "Launchpad" dedicated to his late mother, is about family, grief, personal struggle, and Canadian beer. Alongside self-written music is a live show for everyone, with or without a band. He's known for creating covers and mashups that constantly contrast what you're used to, leaving a spontaneous and unpredictable performance you will never forget.
Born in Kenora, Wood grew up in Dryden, Ontario. From early beginnings of learning guitar at age 13, he started singing a few years later to add a male vocal at his local church. From that moment on, he has been writing songs and playing music ever since.
In 2026, Wood says he plans to make waves. With inspiration pulled from Country, Rock, and Blues, a new single is on the horizon to showcase his new sound. “I’ve experimented lots with my music. Now however, I feel my music reflects a much more genuine side of me, and that should be evident in the songs and music that I make.”
Wood is now based in Canmore, Alberta. Playing all over the Bow Valley, he is driven to see just how far his music can take him. He has recorded his debut single “You’re Doing Okay” with Award Winning producer, Shawn Moore.
The song is out now and is focused on being kind to yourself in the spirit of mental health. His new second single “Four 27” is out right now!
